Frequent questions

How much will my child learn?

Children learn at their own pace and also depending on their age and grade level, cultural background, and enthusiasm towards a language. Additionally, learning a language depends on their amount of exposure to native speakers. With native speaking teachers leading classes, your child will begin to understand words, then phrases and sentences. Your child will also begin to answer simple questions, speak in short phrases and engage in simple conversation - and be on their way to becoming multi-lingual. We recommend them to attend all the classes weekly for optimal language retention and practice at home with the given material during class instruction.

How much will my child speak?

Learning a new language is an ongoing process. The speaking ability is the last stage in the process. Your child will have a quiet beginning; however, this does not mean that they are not learning. First, it is necessary to learn to listen and learn how to speak. This is the magical moment in which they are having an incubation period, at the beginning in order to acquire the target language at a steady pace.

What are the benefits of learning a foreign language?

The benefits are endless. Children who learn a foreign language beginning in early childhood demonstrate cognitive advantages over children who do not. They out-score their non-foreign language learning peers in the verbal and, surprisingly to some, the math sections of standardized tests.

Children who start learning a language at a young age have better opportunities in developing native pronunciation, intonation, and literacy skills that are being developed in the native language.

Many times parents try to predict which language will be most useful in the future, but this is a difficult projection to make. The important factor is that students begin any language as early as possible and continue in a well-articulated sequence. Since research indicates that learning a third or fourth language then comes more easily. Students can always switch languages at a later date if it appears that another might be more useful for a specific career path.

Finally, living in a global society, the 21st century demands the knowledge of computer skills and the command of at least one foreign language.
